Albany Federal Employees C U has partnered with CU Student Higher Education Loan Program (CU Student H.E.L.P.) to offer a private education loan program that gives borrowers a 12-month grace period after graduation and no penalty for prepayment. Get Your Monthly Statements Online
You can now get your monthly statements online. No waiting for the mail to deliver your statements. Your statement is available immediately after the end of the month.
To begin getting eStatements, go to HFS (Online Banking) and click on the Services button on left of screen. Then click on Change e-Statement Options. The default is to receive eStatements only. Simply click Submit Changes and your next statements will be available each month by clicking the Statements button when you go into your account.
Also, the last several months will be saved so you can refer to previous months if you wish.

CHECK SCAMS INCREASING
If you receive a check (Cashier’s or other) from someone you do not know, most likely it is COUNTERFEIT.
Counterfeit cashier’s checks are flooding the country in scams claiming to be for: 1. Winning a lottery (not entered), 2. Mystery shopping, 3 Selling goods over internet, 3. Employment with a bogus company, 4. Many other scams or claims.
The letter will instruct you to send part or all of the funds to someone.
Anytime you are instructed to send part or all of the funds to some person or campany, the check is COUNTERFEIT.
If you deposit or cash the check, it will be returned and you will be charged for the amount of the check. You will then be out that amount plus any money you sent to the criminal.
The check and letter should be given to postal inspectors for investigation (mail fraud).
If you sell goods over the internet; do not accept checks, require payment thru Pay-Pal or similar intermediary.
